Shattered Pixel Dungeon

Shattered Pixel Dungeon is a classic dungeon-crawling RPG that is easy to pick up but difficult to master. Every game presents a unique challenge, featuring five different heroes, randomized levels and enemies, and hundreds of items that you can collect and use. The game is updated periodically, ensuring a continually fresh experience.

There are five playable heroes in ShatteredPD, each with their own distinct mechanics and play style. The Warrior and Duelist possess an impressive combat ability, the Mage specializes in arcane magic, the Rogue employs skillful tactics, and the Huntress uses her marksmanship to gain an advantage. As you progress through the dungeon, you can earn points to spend on talents, choose a subclass, and gain powerful lategame abilities. You can even explore other possibilities, such as turning the Duelist into a dual-wielding Champion, the Mage into a soul-sucking Warlock, or the Huntress into a tanky Warden.

ShatteredPD's dungeon is procedurally-generated, providing random layouts, different room types, items, traps, and enemies in every game you play. As you make your way through the dungeon, you'll find equipment that can be enchanted, upgraded, and augmented to fit your hero's needs. You can set foes ablaze with an enchanted weapon, wade through enemies with upgraded armor, or gain powerful damage, defensive, or utility benefits from one of the many wands, rings, or magical artifacts.

Despite the hazards, traps, and bosses that you'll encounter along the way, ShatteredPD offers a learning curve that rewards persistence. The game has plenty of tricks and strategies to discover, and while you may not win on your first try, you'll learn something new each time.

Shattered Pixel Dungeon has been in development for over a decade and is an open-source game based on the source code of the popular game, Pixel Dungeon. It features five heroes with two subclasses and three endgame abilities, over 250 items, five dungeon regions, trillions of possible floor layouts, over 60 enemy types, 30 traps, and five detailed bosses. There are also nine optional challenges and over 100 achievements to complete for those who want to explore the game's depth further. The game supports different interface modes and input types and regularly receives updates every three months, with new content, fixes, and improvements. Thanks to the game's dedicated communities, it is also available in multiple languages.
