Pocketgamer.co.uk says that the game provides an immensely entertaining experience with its sense of overblown fun that runs throughout races, heists and more. The Guardian also picked Payback 2 as one of the best games of the week. According to Super Game Droid, the game's interesting atmosphere lies in the variety of things it offers to play. Android Authority has dubbed Payback 2 their Indie App of the Day. The game includes tank battles, helicopter races and gang battles all in one place. The varied campaign has fifty events featuring street brawls, rocket car races, and more. Users can battle friends and over a million other players online, with extensive multiplayer, leaderboard, and Google Play support. The game also features hourly, daily and weekly challenges and endless replayability, as users can create their own events using the game's seven cities, nine game modes, varied weaponry and dozens of vehicles.
