The Berlin Assistance App is aimed exclusively at those entitled to assistance, for whom the Berlin State Administration Office acts as the central assistance office. With it, you can submit your receipts (doctor's bills, prescriptions, orders) informally and digitally via your smartphone. It is an alternative to the traditional, paper-based application for assistance under civil service law. Using the Berlin Assistance App is free of charge. After completing the one-time registration process in the app (entering your identification data, accepting the terms of use, setting up password protection, and activating the Berlin Aid App using two-factor authentication), you can capture receipts. Simply photograph them with the app or scan the printed barcode (if available). A camera with a minimum resolution of 5 megapixels is required for the photo function. You can then submit the documents digitally to the Aid Office at the Berlin State Administration Office. Once your documents have been received, you will receive a confirmation of receipt and further information on the processing status of your digitally submitted application via a message on your smartphone. The aid notification will be made available in your mailbox, which provides functions for managing documents.
