Chess

Greetings Players,

As we all know, Chess is one of the oldest strategy games in existence. It is a fantastic game for developing skills such as tactics, strategy, and visual memory. I am currently working on an application that will allow players of all levels to enjoy Chess.

By playing Chess and unlocking levels, you can become a Chess Master! Here are the basic moves of the chess pieces:

- The pawn moves one or two fields forward, and diagonally to one field forward when making a capture.
- The king moves one field in the vertical, horizontal or diagonal direction.
- The queen moves any distance vertically, horizontally or diagonally.
- The rook moves any distance vertically or horizontally.
- The knight moves either two fields vertically and one horizontally or one field vertically and two horizontally.
- The bishop moves any distance diagonally.

In Chess, several important situations can arise, such as Check, Checkmate, and Stalemate. The aim of the game is to checkmate your opponent's king.

Two unique moves in Chess are Castling and En Passant. Castling involves a double move made by the king and rook. En Passant is a move where a pawn can capture an opponent's pawn if it jumps over a field under the pawn's blow.

Our Chess application has several unique features, including ten levels of difficulty, Chess Puzzles, Game Assistant (Helper), the ability to undo moves, hints for moves, stars for completing levels without using the undo button, different themes, two board views, alternate mode, 2 player mode, realistic graphics, a save function, and sound effects.
