🌐 CivicZone – Collaborative Public Safety in the Palm of Your Hand
SafeZone is an innovative collaborative public safety app, developed to make cities safer with the help of the community itself.

⚠️ Mandatory Permissions at Startup
For the app to work properly, you must grant the following permissions when you first open the app:

Location (including in the background)

Camera

Microphone

Notifications

These permissions ensure that you can receive alerts, share your location, send videos of incidents, and interact safely.

🔍 How it Works
CivicZone uses an interactive map where users can:

✅ Report Zones:
Classify areas as Safe Zone, Unsafe Zone, or Alert Zone based on real incidents. These zones are viewed by other users in real time.

🎥 Send Incident Videos:
Record videos of up to 3 seconds in specific locations and help show what is happening. The videos are available for 3 hours and can be voted by other users with "Like" or "Dislike".

📍 Share Location with Friends:
Send friend requests and share your location with people you trust. Each user chooses their own icon on the map, making the experience personalized and safe.

💬 Community-Moderated Local Chat:
Chat with people in your area. Messages with 5 likes are highlighted, and offensive messages are automatically removed after 5 downvotes.

🧭 Safety Thermometer:
Based on alerts around you, the app displays a thermometer that indicates whether you are in a safe, neutral or dangerous zone.
