The purpose of the Hik-Connect application is to operate and integrate with various electronic devices, including but not limited to DVRs, NVRs, cameras, video intercoms, and security control panels. This application enables users to view live surveillance footage or playback recorded footage from different locations, such as homes, offices, and workshops.

Furthermore, the Hik-Connect app provides instant alerts when an alarm in the device triggers. Key features of the application are real-time surveillance with PTZ control, video playback, two-way audio intercom, instant alarm notifications with pictures and videos, doorbell and video intercom device answering capabilities, remote armament of security control panels, sharing of devices with restricted permissions, and a convenient and safe fingerprint login system.
