The purpose of this application is to aid in the learning of English speech reception. The texts included contain challenging words and expressions commonly encountered in American English. In addition to simply learning the meanings of these words and phrases, users will also gain insight into their origins. Each text has been meticulously spoken by a professional speaker, and is accompanied by both an English text and translation. The application also includes a test to assess the user's proficiency in English speech perception, and allows for flexible scheduling and simultaneous training of up to three texts. To access new texts, users must pass the test, which can be taken at any level of difficulty. Retaking the test may improve your score, but a lower result than your previous attempt will not affect your overall score.
