Počasí ČHMÚ

The ČHMÚ Weather application is the official application of the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute (ČHMÚ), which provides a wide range of users with general and detailed information on current and expected weather developments, watercourse conditions, air pollution levels and other data from the field of interest of the ČHMÚ.

The basic part of the application is the weather forecast for the user's selected location or area, both in the form of graphic icons and text forecasts. There are also detailed radar images in 5-minute increments and a precipitation forecast for the next tens of hours.

Warnings are also a key part of the application. The application displays currently valid and upcoming warnings for various dangerous phenomena. The user is also informed about these warnings via push notifications immediately after they are issued in the area of ​​interest.

The application also contains other useful information - for example, a UV index forecast, a biometeorological forecast, an estimate of precipitation, the risk of flash floods, information on tick activity, sounding data and more.

Users can set the default application interface according to their own preferences and interests so that it displays exactly what they need.

Outputs are available in the form of tables, graphics and maps.

In addition to the default notifications for issued warnings, users can set their own, so-called
personalized notifications, where they can choose their own criteria according to which the application users are notified, for example, of expected rain in a specific location at a selected time, a decrease or increase in the level of a selected stream or, for example, exceeding a certain value of dust particle concentrations.
