Web Video Cast | Browser to TV

Web Video Caster® enables you to view videos from your favorite websites on your TV, including movies, TV shows, live news and sports streams, and IPTV. You can also stream local videos stored on your phone, as well as photos and audio files. The app detects subtitles on web pages and offers support for both user-submitted and OpenSubtitles.org subtitles.

Web Video Caster® is compatible with many popular streaming devices, including Chromecast, Roku, DLNA receivers, Amazon Fire TV and Fire TV Stick, and Smart TVs such as LG Netcast and WebOS, Samsung, Sony, and others. PlayStation 4 is also supported through its web browser, as are most web browsers when visiting http://cast2tv.app. If you experience compatibility issues, contact the app's support team with your device's brand and model number.

Supported media formats include HLS live streams in M3U8 format (depending on your streaming device's capabilities), movies and TV shows, MP4 videos, live news and sports broadcasts, any HTML5 videos (subject to your device's decoding capabilities), IPTV (M3U8, W3U, RSS), photos, and audio files, including music.

Getting started is easy—simply browse the web or your local file explorer to find the content you want to cast to your TV. If the content is on a website, try playing it within the web page. Long-pressing a photo enables you to cast it.

Web Video Caster® offers several premium features, including an ad-free experience, bookmarks, customizable home page settings, video history, playlist queueing, a home screen shortcut, and a "Most Visited" site list. Note that not all functionality applies to every streaming device.

As with all apps, there are some limitations and disclosures to be aware of. For example, Web Video Caster® has no control over web media providers' content, does not support tab casting, and cannot address server-side issues such as buffering or playback failure. Refunds are only issued within 24 hours of purchase, and users must submit an order number in text format.

The app permits the pausing of videos on incoming phone calls, requires access to Wi-Fi connection information for streaming and browsing, and requires access to Photos/Media/Files for download functionality. In-app purchases are required for premium features. Wake-lock keeps the device awake during video routing (primarily for live streams and authenticated videos), while Google Play Services (version 7.5 or higher) requires access to Accounts/Identity. Location access is only requested for devices with Android 6 or higher, and only when a website requests your location. Users can deny location access without affecting app functionality.
