The Argentine Council of Ophthalmology is the institution that represents the country's ophthalmologists. It was founded on May 19, 1962, in the city of Rosario, Argentina. Its main objectives are to protect the interests of ophthalmologists, promote the professional training of colleagues, and defend the visual health of the population. The organization has been affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Buenos Aires (UBA) since March 27, 2013. Its headquarters are located at Tte. Gral. Perón 1479, ground floor, Buenos Aires.
